THE GORDON D. HOOPLE - HAROLD H. WANAMAKER INSTITUTE
The educational and training programs of OPCC were designated as the Gordon D. Hoople Institute in 1973 following the death of the founding Board President, Dr. Gordon D. Hoople. It was his special dream that the Center be committed to developing more effective religious leaders through training and educational programs.
The Hoople Fund was established as a restricted-use fund, the interest of which is used to support scholarship aid and other assistance as needed to carry out the programs of the Institute.
In 1993, Dr. Hoople's longtime medical partner, Dr. Harold H. Wanamaker, donated the generous proceeds of his retirement party to the educational programs of OPCC. The Institute was renamed as the Gordon D. Hoople - Harold H. Wanamaker Institute in his honor.
